Simba's Curiosity

Recently, I happened to watch “The Lion King” movie with my kids. Like every child, Simba(Lion Cub) has a natural curiosity to question things around the world.

Mufasa(Simba’s Dad, The King) talks about the delicate balance that exists and should respect every creature in this world. He tells Simba to understand this diversity and appreciate it.

During this sermon, Simba sees the antelope running across the terrain and the conversation goes this way

Simba: Dad, Don’t we eat animals?

Dad: Let me explain, Simba. When we die, our body becomes grass and antelope eats the grass. So we are all connected.

I liked this portion of the conversation. Every parent can certainly relate to this situation. Many of the questions from the kids will stun us for a moment. The way we handle it really matters to the budding brain.
