I always struggle to grok the abstract things. I like examples, analogies, and metaphors to get a better understanding. The one who gives clear ‘explanations’ of what, how, and why holds great respect from the community. I still clearly remember Dr. P.Kanagasabapathy’s ‘Transducer’ class during my B.Tech. This has happened ~20 years ago.
Recently, This Childrens'Book on Apache Kafka by Mitch Seymour caught my attention. It makes learning more engaged and interesting. People like Mitch are taking Feynman’s technique to a very new level by drastically simplifying the concepts where even a 5 old (Feynman says 8 years old) will have a good understanding of what we are trying to convey.
For those who are new to Feynman’s Technique on learning. Here is the high-level blueprint.
Looking for more such creative ideas in the learning realm. Days are not far to remove ‘RTFM’ from our dictionary. Well done, Mitch.
